Micro-fluidics is a speciality of MiniFAB. The prototyping of micro-fluidic devices for feasibility studies is achieved by the integration of functional components such as channels, flow cells, mixers, and other micro-features that can be produced by our processing toolbox. MiniFAB can also test fluidic performance using the MiniChemLab system and provide a performance report. Limited component design is available within the JobShop in order to realise designs. More advanced design activities can be undertaken by our Product Development Team and in either case we would be very happy to discuss your requirements.
Using the toolbox of micro-features presented above, MiniFAB can provide parts for testing and validation of designs through to small volume production runs.

Introduction of the fluidic sample and its reagents to the micro-fluidic device and the handling of the fluidic waste can be simplified by the use of a manifold structure that interfaces fluidic control systems to the fluidic cartridge. MiniFAB can fabricate a custom solution or has standard solutions available.
A fundamental requirement of a micro-fluidic device is to establish control of fluid flow. MiniFAB can integrate features such as mixing structures, reservoirs, channels and flow cells within your micro-fluidic device.

Simple visualisation of flow in devices provides valuable insight to the design and performance of micro-fluidic parts. The MiniChemLab platform allows for testing of the functional components of the micro-fluidic device at the POP stage of your micro-fluidic device. Please contact us to discuss more advanced methods to testing.
